ACL injuries have become an epidemic in sports in recent years and end an athlete's season instantly and in some cases their career. As an athlete, you’re only as valuable as your availability and this is not the only thing that is affected. Your inability to complete can lead to depression and anxiety and a lack of identity with your team. These are things often overlooked, but finally realized when you are injured for a significant amount of time.
ACL injury prevention programs have shown to be very effective in reducing non-contact ACL tears by identifying weaknesses and poor movement partners. The program is designed to teach proper landing mechanics and improve dynamic stability and overall strength from the core down. These programs translate across all sports and can be tailored easily to fit the needs of each individual.
My ACL program will begin with an initial assessment which will give me the information needed and allow each athlete to be challenged from the get-go. Through periodic re-assessments, I will determine when we can advance them safely. My program is designed by scientific based sports medicine research and carried out by certified athletic trainers. We have the best interest of your son or daughter in mind and want to do everything possible to help them improve their performance and stay on the field.
In order to see the best results your commitment to the program is required and I believe 1 hour 3 times a week is not a lot of time to see drastic results that could save you years on your playing career. Our program will run for a total of 3 months so that a 12 week program for 1 hour 3 times a week for grand total of 36 hours.
